Holly Willoughby has been confirmed as Ant McPartlin’s replacement on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and will join Declan Donnelly to host the ITV show as one half of the iconic duo takes a break from television. Dec is thought to have suggested that Holly would be the perfect host after Ant pulled out of all television commitments, in addition to the 2019 series of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway already being axed, as reported by Daily Mirror. ‘Holly is 100 per cent confirmed to be going into the Jungle this year as Ant’s stand in,’ the source revealed and continued to say: ‘It’s been in the works for weeks as ITV were really keen on getting her in. They’ve taken their time announcing it as they wanted to be sure Holly could fit it in with her family and other work commitments.’ After this announcement, other sources told The Sun that discussions about her new role are at an ‘advanced stage’ and was given Ant’s blessing to join the next series of I’m A Celebrity.
But who is Holly Willoughby? Known as the golden girl of television, it seems as if Holly Willoughby has either presented or appeared on most shows that are on television right now and was even occasionally on our screens nearly every day of the week with her on-screen husband Phillip Schofield, hosting This Morning and Dancing on Ice. Born Holly Marie Willoughby in Brighton on February 10, 1981 to an air stewardess and double glazing company owner, she was first spotted by a model scout at The Clothes Show Live in 1995 at the age of 14, as reported by Closer Online. She was signed by Storm Model Management and modelled for magazines More!, Mizz and Just Seventeen and years later, modelled underwear for brands such as Pretty Polly.
It was also revealed at the end of last year that Holly and Dan made a staggering £1 million from their company Roxy Media; Holly owns 80 per cent of the shares and earned £760,000 and Dan, with 20 per cent, £190,000.
