Khabib Nurmagomedov Vs Conor McGregor Has Been Officially Announced

It’s finally happening. McGregor will fight the current title-holder Nurmagomedov, with the UFC announcing today that at UFC 229 on Oct. 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, this long-awaited showdown will take place.

The event airs live on pay-per-view for those of us who want to view at home. Just when you thought the sporting world had calmed down. We’ve had a breath-taking World Cup in Russia, while brilliant Formula One, Golf, Tennis and more recently, cricket has been on display. Now we’re lucky enough to get this. A press conference was held in conjunction for the promotion’s 25th anniversary and this is were Dana White unveiled that the fight would be taking place. McGregor will be making a return to the Octagon just months after he was arrested for his role in a bus attack earlier in New York City. It will be a return for the star who lost to Floyd Mayweather in the Money Fight, one of the biggest spectacles in modern sports history.
