How Camilla Parker Bowles ruined Princess Diana’s honeymoon with Prince Charles

How Camilla Parker Bowles ruined Princess Diana’s honeymoon with Prince Charles

As Princess Diana famously said, there were three people in her marriage – her, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

And it didn’t take long for the cracks to show in the royal couple’s relationship, with problems already emerging on their honeymoon.

Charles and Diana spent two weeks cruising the Mediterranean in the Royal Yacht Britannia – but it wasn’t as magical as it sounds.

In a series of interviews shown in the National Geographic documentary Diana: In Her Own Words, Diana revealed that while they were at sea, she noticed Charles wearing a pair of cufflinks with two letter Cs entwined on them.

She realised they were a gift from Camilla and confronted him about them, but he denied there was anything going on between them.

“On our honeymoon, cufflinks arrive on his wrists. Two C’s entwined like the Chanel ‘C’. Got it. One knew exactly,” she said.

“So I said ‘Camilla gave you those didn’t she?’ He said ‘Yes, so what’s wrong? They’re a present from a friend.'”

“And boy, did we have a row. Jealousy, total jealousy. And it was such a good idea the two ‘C’s but it wasn’t that clever.”

Then when Charles opened his diary, two pictures of Camilla fell out.

The stress and jealousy got to Diana and her bulimia got worse.

She went on: “By then the bulimia was appalling, absolutely appalling. It was rife. It was four times a day on the yacht.

“Anything I could find I would gobble up and be sick two minutes later. We survived that alright. And we went off to Balmoral straight from the yacht.

“Everyone was there to welcome us and the realisation set in.”

Even though she was in the middle of the sea, the princess couldn’t escape Camilla.

“My dreams were appalling at night, I dreamt of Camilla the whole time,” she revealed.

“Everybody saw me getting thinner and thinner and thinner, and I was getting sicker and sicker and sicker.

Coleen Nolan says she’s received online abuse following epic Kim Woodburn row on Loose Women

Coleen Nolan has opened up about her fallout on Loose Women with Kim Woodburn, saying she warned against her nemesis appearing on the show. The former Celebrity Big Brother housemates came face-to-face on the ITV chat show in an item asking if they could end their feud after the two women fell out last year. But it quickly escalated with former How Clean Is Your House? star Kim calling panellist Coleen “lying trash” before storming off the set.

Coleen Nolan – Celebrity Big Brother Housemate

TV watchdog Ofcom received more than 3,000 complaints, with some viewers saying they were offended by Kim’s treatment on the show and claiming the reality star guest was “bullied” and “ganged up” on. In an exclusive interview Coleen, who says she’s been upset to receive online abuse since the row last week, says she warned against Kim appearing on the afternoon chat show. “Personally I don’t have any say on who comes on,” she told us. Kim Woodburn walks off Loose Women after being reunited with CBB housemate Coleen Nolan

“I said ‘I don’t think she can do this’ but her management and the producers insisted she was fine. “I wasn’t shocked by what happened. But it really upset me that people are blaming me. I’m so not confrontational. “We’re all aware it looked like four against but she went off on one.” A tearful Kim, speaking about her experience in the Big Brother house, said pointing at Coleen: “They picked on me. This one ‘cup of tea Kim?’ and behind my back they were slagging me off.” Coleen Nolan won CBB in 2017

Asked why she didn’t leave CBB if she was unhappy she said: “I wanted the money.” Coleen, from Wilmslow, reminded Kim it has been 18 months since they had been on CBB together and Janet Street-Porter, who took on a judge role between the pair, said “she wants to draw a line under it.” But Kim argued: “I’ll never forget what the likes of her and seven others put me through.” And as fellow panellist Linda Robson put a comforting arm around her, Kim snapped “don’t be two-faced.” Coleen said: “She was there for an hour afterwards and they offered her every kind of help. “All of us were in shock afterwards and the audience was in shock. Coleen Nolan

“I wasn’t in as much shock because I had to live with it. “I was told her people had been in touch and the appearance was to make amends and I said ‘I don’t see any point in that.’” Afterwards Coleen’s official Twitter account told her followers: “For clarity – Coleen did not ask for Kim Woodburn to come on the show nor ask to be reunited with her – @loosewomen organised the show. “Coleen has no say in their choice of guests – Coleen stayed as calm as possible whilst being insulted live on air which was incredibly unpleasant.” A spokeswoman for Loose Women said afterwards: “Kim agreed to come onto the panel today at the invitation of the producers on the understanding it was for a reconciliation with Coleen. The Nolans in concert in 2009 “Kim becoming upset was never the intention and the panel did endeavour to comfort her. She was offered counselling after the show, which she declined.” Speaking about the reaction she’s received since the show the CBB 2017 winner said: “I’ve had a lot of abuse and I’m upset by that. Don’t start calling me a bully.” The Nolans singer is now “excited and nervous” to go solo for the first time and is embarking on a seven week concert tour which will bring her to the Manchester Apollo on Friday January 11 and Warrington Parr Hall on Friday February 15 and ending in her home town Blackpool at the Winter Gardens on Thursday February 28. She said: “I’ve always performed with a network of sisters so it’s quite scary. “The reason I wanted to call it Never Too Late is because I think there’s a lot of ageism against women and I don’t want fear to hold me back. Britney Spears’s on-stage Birmingham gaffe leaves Blackpool crowd baffled

Britney Spears’s on-stage Birmingham gaffe leaves Blackpool crowd baffled

Britney Spears came to Birmingham for a show at the Genting Arena, part of the NEC complex, on Friday, August 31. The singer brought her Piece Of Me tour to Brum before a show in Blackpool over the weekend. But despite giving a towering performance in the seaside town, her mind was clearly on Birmingham still. The show served as part of her UK tour, which had an “incredible demand”, according to promoters. Britney Spears performs in Taipei, Taiwan, in June 2017.

It followed Britney’s record-breaking, four-year headlining residency Britney: Piece of Me at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

The 36-year-old singer appeared to be a little confused on Saturday night, however, when she asked the Blackpool crowd: “How you feeling, Birmingham?” Fans soon clarified her mistake and she added: “I mean Blackpool!”

As the first contemporary superstar resident in the city, Britney revitalised the programme of entertainment in Vegas. With over 250 shows, the record-setting residency was sold out on a regular basis, generating over $140 million gross revenue and selling nearly a million tickets.

Question that prompted Roxanne Pallett’s breakdown during Emma Willis grilling

Question that prompted Roxanne Pallett’s breakdown during Emma Willis grilling

Roxanne Pallett was left tearing up this evening after struggling to answer claims made by her former soap co-stars. The 35-year-old Emmerdale actress, who admitted she was the “most hated woman in Britain”, was grilled by Emma Willis this evening in a pre-recorded interview. Bringing up the fact that other co-stars she had worked with in the past had accused her of violence, Emma asked what she would say to them. This includes Sam Attwater, who claimed she had hit him while they were touring with Rocky Horror together. Roxanne Pallett teared up after the question was asked

Struggling to answer, she eventually replied: “Devastating – no one wants to hear that… especially from people you worked with.” She added, getting tearful: “I’m the most hated girl in Britain now.” Over the last few days, she faced the wrath of the public after saying Ryan had “punched her five or six times” and insisted that he had deliberately tried to hurt her.

Emma pointed out that Roxanne had left “a lot of things unanswered” and questioned her what had been going through her mind when she made the accusations. “Watching it feels like a completely different scenario to it was at the time,” Roxanne replied, but Emma probed her on how – two days later – she still got it “so wrong”. Especially when she reenacted what had happened on Ben. The former soap actress insisted that it had hurt, adding: “I convinced myself he meant to do it.” But Emma then asked her why she gained that new perspective from watching it. “Because I saw what every single person saw and I don’t blame anyone for [criticising my actions],” she said. “I’m more shocked at myself more than anyone.” Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will start in 8Cancel Play now She added: “I have to think about why I used humour than something more serious happened in my mind.” Questioned why she hadn’t gone up to Ryan about the incident, she said: “That’s something I’ve asked myself… I think it’s because I didn’t think he liked me… I convinced myself it was malice.” “You could have ruined somebody,” Emma responded. “I’m devastated, it cripples me with embarrassment,” she said. Roxanne said that she was ‘crippled with embarrassment’ over her actions

Emma pointed out that she had time over the few days to research, Roxanne admitted that she was “genuinely disturbed” by what she had done and that “hindsight was a wonderful thing”. Asked whether she had reached out to Ryan’s family she said that she “didn’t want to impose” on them. Emma pointed out that they deserved an apology, to which Roxanne pointed out that she gave them one during her interview earlier today, adding: “All I can do is apologise”. “What did your family say?” Emma asked. Roxanne replied: “They were gutted for me.” Roxanne said that her family were ‘gutted’ for her

“Gutted for you?” Emma said pointedly. “Gutted for the whole situation,” Roxanne replied. “My mum knows I’m sensitive.” Emma then brought up the fact that other co-stars she had worked with in the past had accused her of violence and asked what she would say to them. This includes Sam Attwater, who claimed she had hit him while they were touring with Rocky Horror together. “Devastating – no one wants to hear that,” she replied. “Especially from people you worked with.” She added: “I’m the most hated girl in Britain now.” Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will start in 8Cancel Play now Emma asked: “Do you deserve that title?” “I’m going to try and own it and accept it,” Roxanne said. Asked whether she would forgive herself if she weren’t her, she replied before breaking into tears: “I would want to.” This comes after Roxanne’s much-criticised interview with Jeremy Vine earlier today, despite apologising to Ryan Thomas and his family. The former Emmerdale actress broke her silence in her first interview since walking out of the CBB house. Roxanne appeared on the Channel 5 show and admitted that she “got it wrong” after accusing the ex-Corrie star of deliberately punching her. Appearing on Jeremy Vine on Channel 5, the former Emmerdale star said she “overreacted” to the situation because her “insecurities were heightened” and “judgement was clouded” in the house. Roxanne was interviewed by Jeremy earlier today

Roxy confessed she regrets using the word “deliberate” and that her reaction was a ‘telltale sign of being a victim of domestic abuse’. However, her former Emmerdale co-stars took to Twitter to blast her apology as “lies, lies, lies”. Charlie Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle, wrote: “What about all the other accusations you’ve made along the years? Backtracking because no-one’s on your side. If those cameras hadn’t have been there, he would be finished. End of. #Roxanne.” He’s worried his career has been tarnished

Meanwhile Sammy Winward, who played Katie Sugden, tweeted: “Lies lies lies.” Ryan’s brother Adam wrote: “Jeremy Vine too scared to speak up too PC pathetic interview!! “To everyone that knows her and knows the real her and the lies and the stories she has spun for several years it is so frustrating to watch. Good scene tho Rox annnddddd cut!![sic]”.

Roxanne Pallett and Ryan Thomas’s CBB beef Denise Welch, who previously appeared on Corrie, slammed the apology on Loose Women today. She said Ryan’s life would be “in tatters” had Roxanne made the Punchgate claims in a CBB room that didn’t have cameras. The panellist stood up for Ryan, calling him a “gentleman”, while slamming Roxanne’s apology on today’s Jeremy Vine Show – and hinted there was yet more to come out about Roxy’s past behaviour. “She’s apologised because she was caught out, I feel very strongly about this,” Denise fumed on the ITV chat show. “I haven’t seen the interview but there’s nothing she could say that would convince me it wasn’t the most horrific thing I’ve seen on television.” Denise went on: “I’ve known Ryan for a long time and I’ve been in the CBB house – I know how it can play with your head.”

Celebrity Big Brother 2018: Jacqueline Jossa hints at reconciliation with star Dan Osborne

Celebrity Big Brother 2018: Jacqueline Jossa hints at reconciliation with star Dan Osborne

Jacqueline Jossa broke her silence on estranged husband Dan Osborne’s decision to join this year’s Celebrity Big Brother as she discussed her marriage. The former EastEnders actress appeared to suggest she would be open to rekindling her romance with Dan, 27. Speaking about her current situation with the former The Only Way Is Essex star, Jacqueline revealed they were not back together. “We’re not officially back together but he’s living with us so we spend every day together, and we’re getting on really well,” she said. “It’s hard for me to discuss my relationship when we haven’t had a chance to talk about it properly. I don’t know what the future holds.”

Jacqueline Jossa

In an interview, Jacqueline insisted she would stand by Dan “no matter what” happens in the future. She added: “Dan is my family and no matter what goes on in our marriage that won’t change.” However, Jacqueline seemed less than impressed with Dan’s decision to take part in Celebrity Big Brother. The 25-year-old soap star admitted she would not be at the finale show to support Dan but hopes he wins. “I won’t be there at the final, I think that would be a bit weird. We need to talk when he’s back and see where we both stand,” she explained. “It’s a shame he went on the show while we were still figuring things out. The timing wasn’t great for us.” She continued: “But I told him that if he felt like it was something he needed to do then I’d support him wholeheartedly.” Dan has been very open about her marital issues since appearing on the Channel 5 show, however his openness has rubbed Jacqueline the wrong way. “It’s been hard seeing Daniel discuss our marriage with a group of people I’ve never met,” she stated.

Gaby Allen

Dan is currently sharing a house with Love Island 2017 star Gabby Allen, 25, who he was romantically linked to earlier this year. However, Dan hit out at fan in May, who asked him about Gabby, saying: “‘Cosy’ with another woman. I am speaking and laughing with a friend. “But of course, a man and a woman can’t be friends in this day and age can they? Also, you don’t know me, don’t know how I ‘act’.” A day later Jacqueline wrote on Twitter: “No one needs to comment and get involved in things they don’t know anything about. “Daniel and I are dealing with things privately as a team, there is always two sides to every story.” She concluded: “Stop with the nasty comments, no one deserves them. Trust me, privacy please.”

Richard Hammond and his wife Mindy were gassed and burgled at their French villa

Richard Hammond and his wife Mindy were gassed and burgled at their French villa

Grand Tour star Richard Hammond and his wife Mindy were gassed and burgled as they slept in their holiday villa in the South of France. A team of burglars used knock-out gas on Hammond and his family before pillaging their San Tropez villa, his wife Mindy fears. Mindy told how the burglars searched the rooms of all 15 guests in the home rifling bedside drawers for cash and jewellery. She says her blood runs cold when she recalls that she was woken on the night of the raid, went downstairs to investigate but thought it must have been guests staying with them and went back to bed.

She said: “The real horror story for me was that the night before we were late to bed and I heard a door downstairs shut. I thought, ‘That’s a bit bizarre’, and decided I had to check it.” Richard Hammond with wife Amanda Etheridge

She continued: “I went downstairs and into the hallway. The door into the living room was shut but I heard a male voice behind the door. “I thought it was another couple staying up and went back to bed. “Actually, it was the burglars. “That just makes my blood run cold. I could have easily walked in and it could have been unpleasant.” Use of anaesthetic gas has been reported before in the area, and previously suspected victims have included Formula 1 driver Jenson Button. Mindy said the guests had been enjoying their stay in the villa, dressing up in 1920s clothing, drinking vintage cocktails and dancing. Richard Hammond after surviving his second near-fatal supercar crash during filming the Grand Tour

The day after the raid, their younger daughter, Willow, 15, realised her watch was missing. Cash was stolen from purses as the burglars went through people’s handbags. “You have got to have some kind of confidence to do that and to be quite satisfied that people aren’t going to wake up,” Mindy said. “That morning I slept in until eight. I didn’t even wake to Richard’s snoring! Nobody woke up. “It turned out they had burgled the neighbouring property as well in the same night. The two raiders were caught on camera – and police arrested them within 48 hours of the break-in last month.
